All in the Family: Black & Asian Solidarity
On April 8, 2022, CIFWI at PCDC co-hosted “All in the Family: A Celebration of Black and Asian Joy” with YING, Inc. It was one of the largest Black and Asian solidarity events to be held in Philadelphia, bringing together two communities through food, music, art, and a panel discussion on how to move forward together. The discussion panel engaged in a dialogue about the inequities that Asian and Black communities have faced and how our communities can work together to build a prosperous future.
“All in the Family” created the opportunity to include more people in this growing work to bridge the gap between communities.
HIGHLIGHTS
Blasian Solidarity, a local grassroots effort for racial harmony works to bridge the Black and Asian communities.
CIFWI is part of Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation.
